๐Ÿงฉ The New York problem

Four registries.
One practice.

New York publishes everything you need to spot a new practice. It just publishes it in four places that do not reference each other, and no single one of them is enough to make the call.

๐Ÿ“Š How it works

Signals in.
Ranked list out.

Every ranking can be traced back to its sources. Read the methodology

Detect

New and changing records are picked up from the market's public sources every week.

Verify

Each organization is matched across independent registries before it is ranked.

Rank

Every opportunity is scored for timing, fit, confidence, and contactability.

๐Ÿ“ก In the New York feed

15 signals.
Split two ways.

Every signal is counted twice: once by what kind of event it is, once by how much independent evidence stands behind it.

What kind of signal
  • 1New companies
  • 0Activity at existing businesses
  • 14New provider records
How much evidence
  • 0Confirmed
  • 1Probable
  • 14Needs review

Anonymized totals, July 24, 2026, and they move every week. Every opportunity is in the feed; the levels only describe the evidence behind it.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ New York sources

New York records.
Read at the source.

Four public sources sit behind every New York opportunity. Each is listed with what it proves and where it stops, because a rank is only worth as much as the record underneath it.

  1. CMS NPPES

    WEEKLY

New and updated organization records, checked against New York's daily filings and its active-corporation list.

An NPI is not proof of a newly formed company. Only genuine formation and authorisation filings count.

  2. New York Department of State

    DAILY

The last 30 days of filings with DOS ID, type, name, date and public address, each cross-checked against the active-corporation dataset.

A service-of-process address is a legal contact, not necessarily the practice, so a match needs name plus place or person.

  3. New York OMH

    PER SNAPSHOT

Licensed and state-funded mental-health programmes with sponsor, agency, facility and programme identity.

The register is not a list of every small private practice, so absence from it is neutral.

  4. Public web

    ON MATCH

First-party sites and public contacts for the leads the filings leave unresolved.

A website can improve contactability but never establishes a company's formation date.

Last full New York source audit, 24 July 2026: 15 candidates, 6,462 programme rows read from the May snapshot, and one company match. The Office of the Professions forbids commercial aggregation of its licence lookups, so individual licences are not imported.

๐Ÿ“ Coverage

Statewide.
City by city.

The feed covers New York statewide. The OMH directory does not include every small private practice, so a practice outside it keeps its score. We rank on what the sources prove, not on what they omit.

Local signals currently sit across 13 cities in New York. The 1 with the most local evidence have their own page below.
