๐Ÿงฉ The Maine problem

Three registries.
One practice.

Maine publishes everything you need to spot a new practice. It just publishes it in three places that do not reference each other, and no single one of them is enough to make the call.

Every ranking can be traced back to its sources. Read the methodology

Detect

New and changing records are picked up from the market's public sources every week.

Verify

Each organization is matched across independent registries before it is ranked.

Rank

Every opportunity is scored for timing, fit, confidence, and contactability.

๐Ÿ“ก In the Maine feed

6 signals.
All still matching.

Maine's new provider records are in the feed and still matching against the state's other sources, published as needs review rather than dressed up as verified.

  2. 0matched to a company record yetMaine's company lists are all paid, from $10 a month for new entities up to $1,200 for monthly corporate records

Anonymized totals, July 24, 2026, and they move every week. Every opportunity is in the feed; the levels only describe the evidence behind it.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Maine sources

Maine records.
Read at the source.

Three public sources sit behind every Maine opportunity. Each is listed with what it proves and where it stops, because a rank is only worth as much as the record underneath it.

  1. CMS NPPES

    WEEKLY

New and updated organization records, whose NPI is then looked up directly in the state's provider directory.

An NPI is not proof of a newly formed Maine company, and Maine company formation is not automated.

  2. Maine DHHS MaineCare

    PER CANDIDATE

The state's official provider-directory API, giving entity name, NPI, active state, public address and phone on an exact NPI match.

MaineCare enrolment is neither a company filing nor a professional licence, so a match corroborates activity and nothing more.

  3. Public web

    ON MATCH

First-party sites and public contacts, cached per organization so a repeat run costs nothing and reaches the same answer.

A statewide treatment directory that providers maintain themselves is a place to start looking, not first-party proof.

Last full Maine source audit, 26 July 2026. The directory is queried only for candidates enumerated in the last 180 days plus any organization that already has a match, which keeps call volume bounded. Behavioral health is not served by the state's searchable facility database: that link redirects to an older licence system whose official targets time out from a server.

๐Ÿ“ Coverage

Statewide.
Every county.

The feed covers Maine statewide. The official MaineCare provider directory now adds current enrolment evidence on an exact NPI match. It proves active provider activity rather than a company filing, and behavioral-health licence searches sit behind a separate state portal that does not permit scheduled access, so we use what the state serves openly and leave the portal alone. Uncorroborated records remain clearly marked for review.
